Snake and Ladder
Snakes and Ladders is a centuries-old Indian board game that has gained worldwide popularity and is now considered a classic. The game is played by two or more players on a square grid that is numbered sequentially. The gameboard showcases various “ladders” and “snakes,” each connecting two specific squares—ladders typically facilitate progress by allowing players to climb upward, while snakes pose setbacks by bringing players down. The primary goal is to move one’s game piece from the starting position at the bottom of the board to the final square at the top, based on the outcomes of die rolls. The game balances chance and strategy, as players climb ladders or slide down snakes, adding an element of unpredictability and excitement. To play, simply press the “space” bar on your keyboard or click/tap the “roll” button to roll the dice. This action determines how many squares your piece advances, bringing anticipation and engagement to the gameplay.
